Head to head · Desk research
Two fuel-injected 300 cc two-stroke enduro bikes from the same parent company, with near-identical engines. The useful differences are price, seat height, rear suspension design and what each brand fits as standard.
Desk research from each maker's or seller's Australian pages, not a ride test. We don't pick a winner. Figures checked between 27 October 2026 and 29 October 2026.

KTM Australia lists the 2027 300 EXC at $19,195 and Husqvarna Australia lists the 2027 TE 300 at $19,795, both as Recommended Ride Away Pricing. The Husqvarna costs $600 more at those prices. Ride away pricing can vary by state.
Both are 293 cc two-strokes (293.15 cc for KTM, 293.2 cc for Husqvarna) with six-speed gearboxes and electric start. Husqvarna's page notes an electronic oil pump, so no premix, and a two-position map switch.
The TE 300 seat is 952 mm and the 300 EXC seat is 963 mm, 11 mm taller. Both makers quote weight without fuel: 104.4 kg for the KTM and 106.8 kg for the Husqvarna. The KTM holds about 9 L of fuel and the Husqvarna about 8.5 L.
The KTM uses a WP XPLOR shock with PDS, which mounts without a linkage, and lists 310 mm of rear travel. The Husqvarna uses a WP XACT shock with a linkage and lists 300 mm. The two systems feel different, so ride both if you can.
Both offer up to one year of manufacturer warranty, conditional on scheduled servicing at an authorised dealer.
Each figure is as the Australian source publishes it. Weight bases differ between makers, so read the label under each weight. "Not published" means the source doesn't give it; we never estimate.
